Mohamed Salah has admitted he wants his former Roma team-mate Daniele De Rossi to join him at Liverpool.
The veteran midfielder recently played his final game for the Italian club, after failing to have his contract in the Eternal City renewed.
De Rossi will be available as a free agent this summer, and Salah revealed he would love to link up with the 36-year-old once again.
Speaking this week to Di Marzio, Salah said of De Rossi's current situation: 'A future for him in the Premier League? It would be beautiful, but I don't know if it's possible.
'It would be pleasing for me to play with him again, he is an optimal player.
'He is a legend of the club and of Italian football, not just because he is a great friend of mine.'
De Rossi was recently in tears as he waved goodbye to Roma fans after making his 616th appearance for the club in a 2-1 victory over Parma.
The Stadio Olimpico became a tribute to the midfielder, with fans holding up banners and tifos in honour of the long-serving star.
De Rossi has not yet made any announcement on his future, but has been linked with moves to Argentinian side Boca Juniors as well as the Chinese Super League.
